Albert Canal Bartrina
Albert Canal Bartrina (born 10 July 1991) is a Spanish footballer who plays for UE Olot as a defender.
==Football career==
Born in Olot, Girona, Catalonia, Canal began his senior career with UE Llagostera in Tercera División, helping it promote for the first time ever to Segunda División B in his only season. In December 2010 he signed with neighbours RCD Espanyol, being assigned to the reserves in the third level.〔(El garrotxí Canal, l'alumne avantatjat (Garrotxa's own Canal, a gifted student) ); El Punt Avui, 6 January 2011 〕
On 13 December 2011 Canal made his first-team debut, coming on as an 82nd substitute for another club youth graduate, Víctor Álvarez, in a Copa del Rey match against Celta de Vigo (0–0 away draw, 4–2 on aggregate).〔(Faltó ambición en Balaídos (No ambition at Balaídos) ); Marca, 13 December 2011 〕 He continued appearing exclusively for the B-team until his release in June 2012, following which he returned to his first club, now in the third tier.
